ANDREW NEAL THIELEN
March 3, 1983 – November 19, 2024
It is with deep sorrow and profound grief that we share the tragic passing of our beloved son, Andrew.
Andrew was born in Seoul, Korea, fondly joined our family in Wisconsin four months later, and became a United States citizen at the age of 18 months. He was a very happy baby, a very inquisitive boy, and someone with an insatiable desire to learn. There were many enjoyable moments with Andrew.
He was extremely intelligent and tackled anything he set his mind to. He had a passion for reading, skiing, fishing, hiking, and cooking. After high school graduation, he ventured out to make a life on his own. He met his life partner, Ruth Keicher, and they both decided to explore the United States and spent many years traveling to several coastal states, living in Oregon and up-state New York and simply loved nature and exploring God’s playground.
Preceded in death by LeRoy and Ramona Thielen, cousin Matt Thielen, Henry and Kathleen Mauer (Greenwood), cousin Brian Orloske, and aunt Mary Mauer.
Andrew is survived by Michael and Deborah Thielen; sister Rebekah Thielen Barnes (Dean); and nieces, Cecelia Thielen and Naomi Barnes, and nephew Elias Barnes.
