Andrew "Andy" Noll

Noll, Andrew "Andy", 60, of Oakdale, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 after a battle with kidney cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorraine and Donald Noll. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 37 years, Lisa; children, Stephen (Amanda Spencer) and Rachel (David) Sherar; siblings, Joe, Sarah, and Bob; and other family and friends.

In 1981, Andy graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers, WI. He then continued his education by obtaining his Bachelors in Accounting from St. Norbert in 1985, followed by a Masters in Finance from St. Thomas in 1995.

Andy began a lengthy 38-year career at 3M in 1985, where he formed many lifetime friendships as manager of U.S. Treasury Operations. In 2009, Andy was honored to become an educator, like his parents before him, when he was presented with an opportunity to become an adjunct professor at St. Catherine University teaching a variety of economic and financial courses. In addition, Andy served as a tutor for the subjects he taught. He also enjoyed umpiring baseball in the summers.

Andy was involved with many different organizations. He shared his love of finance with his investment group (IGP). He educated youth in the local elementary school through Junior Achievement for 23 years. He had a passion for passing on life lessons and values through coaching and attending his children's sporting events. He devoted a great deal of time fundraising to find a cure for his beloved wife through the Alzheimer's Association.

Andy had a great number of interests that he took pride in sharing with his friends and family. He enjoyed being outdoors; whether he was taking in scenic bike rides with his wife, Lisa, catching some sun on the deck with the cats, or the yearly tradition of bundling up to go cut down the family Christmas tree. He loved attending sporting events and seeing his favorite artists at concerts, as well as the sights and smells of the Great Minnesota Get-Together, the one and only Minnesota State Fair. He was no stranger to going on a nice drive in the car whether it was to pursue a set of flashing lights to a local crime scene or simply to rock out and sing along to his favorite 80's songs, regardless if he knew the lyrics or not.

Andy will be remembered for his contagious laugh, the love and care that he showed for his friends and family, and his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone he encountered.

A memorial service will be held at 4 PM on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake, with visitation from 1 PM until the time of the service. Interment to take place at 10 AM on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Calvary Cemetery, Red Wing, MN. To honor Andy we ask all in attendance to wear something purple.
