Adrian Lee Blackford passed away peacefully in his home on December 3rd, surrounded by his family. Adrian fought a more than year-long battle with brain cancer that took such a toll on his body, but never on his spirit or mood. His grieving family left behind include his mother Brianna Griffin, father Troy Blackford, brother and best friend Nolan Blackford, grandfather Charles Allen Griffin, grandmother Judithe Blackford, Grandmother Margaret May, and Aunt Elicia Blackford.
Fond of puns and outrageous quips, never without a stuffed âcuddle friendâ (particularly his dear Glow Wormy, Glormy), and always ready to follow his brother on an adventure, Adrian was a delight from the day he was born until the very end. Whether insisting on watching âunboxing videosâ of kids playing with toys to pass the time in the hospital, or playing with some of his dozens of superhero and dinosaur toys--Adrianâs innocence was a delight.
His purity and unusual focus on the emotional states of others made him seem much more wise than his age would suggest possible. He brought so much light and charm and beauty into this world, where these things are sorely needed.
