Abbie flew home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on November 25th, 2014 at the age of 76. She was a beautiful example of a loving and devoted wife and mother. Abbie took every opportunity to celebrate life to its fullest. She was born in St. Paul on March 1, 1938 to Abner and Agnes Larson. Abbie met the love of her life, Bruce Johnson, and they were married in St. Paul on September 8, 1961. She was known for her loving, fun and outgoing personality. Abbie enjoyed crafts and loved any type of celebration. For those who knew Abbie, they know how important her family was to her and how much it meant to spend time with them.
She will be dearly missed by her adoring husband, Bruce of 53 wonderful years who is from Oakdale; children, Steve Johnson of Oakdale, Dawn (Chris) Soderholm of Champlin, and Laura (James) Fraser of White Bear Lake; grandchildren, Sam, Ben and Elly Soderholm, Emily and Sara Fraser; their dog, Eddie; and many other family and friends.
Preceded in death by parents, Abner and Agnes Larson; sister, Lavonne.
Visitation will be held at 10am with the Celebration of Life at 11am on Saturday November 29th at House of Prayer Lutheran Church, 6039 40th St N. Oakdale, MN 55128. Luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to House of Prayer Lutheran Church.
Abbie's family would like to give a special thanks to Cerenity Care Center of White Bear Lake and its staff for their incredible and loving care of her while there.
